Accounting

  • Acquisition Professional Career Program is an entry-level program for college graduates designed to develop future Department acquisition leaders for the more than $20 billion worth of goods and services annually in support of the Department's mission, the third largest procurement budget in the federal government.

Cybersecurity

  • Secretary’s Honors Program for Cybersecurity Professionals is a two-year program for recent college graduates designed to develop technically skilled cyber professionals across the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Through rotational assignments, participants see how each Component collaborates on cyber-related issues and works first-hand on critical issues or incidents in a fast-paced, growing environment. Candidates are encouraged to participate in the Cybersecurity Internship Program prior to applying for the Honors Program.
  • Emerging Leaders in Cybersecurity Fellowship is a two-year program for recent graduates with a master's degree and is designed to develop the next generation of cyber leaders within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Emerging Leaders in Cybersecurity Fellows will receive leadership training and work side by side with experts in cybersecurity focusing on mission areas such as identification and analysis of malicious code, forensics analysis, incident handling, intrusion detection and prevention, and software assurance. The Fellows will have the opportunity, through rotational assignments, to see how each component collaborates on cyber-related issues and work first-hand on critical issues or incidents.

Legal

  • Office of General Counsel Honors Program serves as the cornerstone for entry-level attorney hiring by the Department of Homeland Security. Honors Program Attorneys will be hired for a two-year term and during that time will have the opportunity to work at multiple legal offices within the Office of the General Counsel.
