Health IT Workforce Revolving Loan Fund

The Delta Regional Authority's Health IT Workforce Revolving Loan Fund Program will begin accepting applications the week of August 27, 2012.  Applicants whose practice is designated as a Health Provider Shortage Area or as a Medically Underserved Area by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services are encouraged to apply.

The DRA's Health IT program seeks to spur the transition to Electronic Health Records (EHR) in underserved communities of the Delta.  The DRA will provide an interest free loan of up to $7500 to small health care provider offices (HPOs) throughout the Delta region to be used to install and adopt EHR systems.  Applicants must be eligible to receive “meaningful use” incentives, as defined by the HITECH Act, and will repay the DRA upon receipt of these incentives.
