New Mandatory Policy for the Use of eGov Travel Services at GSA
(Internal to GSA Employees)

GSA has an incredibly diverse array of responsibilities, including providing the most effective and efficient services possible to federal agencies. GSA has developed programs to drive down travel costs government-wide, including the E-Gov Travel Service System and FedRooms. The new travel policy is described in a memo from Cynthia A. Metzler, our Chief Administrative Services Officer. This new policy will allow GSA to reduce costs as well as promote greater transparency and oversight.


The GSA SmartPay® program provides charge cards to agencies/departments throughout the U.S. government, as well as tribal governments, through master contracts that are negotiated with major national banks.
