Climate change threatens some of the most treasured natural and historic places in our nation. An example in the Pacific Coast bioregion that park mangers are concerned about is the potential increase in severe flooding due to heavier early summer rains. This is an image of one of the main roads in Mount Rainier National Park after a record rainfall and flood in 2006 caused serious damage throughout the park.
