Child Care Subsidies = Better Care

A random assignment study in Cook County, Illinois found that providing child care subsidies to families who otherwise would have too much income to be eligible increased the stability of the care, improved parental satisfaction with care, reduced job related problems due to child care, and changed the out-of-pocket costs of care.
