Research Supplements to Promote Diversity in Health-Related Research (Admin Supp)

http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-12-149.html

Purpose

Principal Investigators holding NIH research grants of the specified types (see announcement) can apply for administrative supplements to improve the diversity of the research workforce by supporting and recruiting students, postdoctoral candidates, and eligible investigators from groups that have been shown to be underrepresented in health-related research. A currently funded Principal Investigator can submit one application on one topic. The grantee institution must submit the application for supplemental funds directly to the awarding component that supports the parent grant. The application must not be submitted to the NIH Center for Scientific Review. This program expires September 30, 2015 unless reissued.

Addendum: Administrative Supplements to Existing NIH Grants and Cooperative Agreements, and Research Supplements to Promote Diversity in Health-Related Research (NOT-OD-12-117)

Provision: Effective immediately, supplements to any award with direct cost or total cost limits (e.g., R15, R03, R21, R00) may provide support above the established limits for the parent grant award, unless such limits are established by law.

NLM's participation is confined to research grants for which it is the primary funding agency. Grantees must contact NLM before submitting an application for this supplement opportunity.
