Trey McIntyre Project

Boise, Idaho
$100,000

Since its origins as a summer touring company, the Trey McIntyre Project (TMP) has become a full-time, year-round company that celebrates the modern ballet works of choreographer Trey McIntyre.

The Arts Endowment will support community engagement and outreach performances by TMP, which will remain in Boise rather than tour to catalyze cross-cultural involvement with the arts. TMP will directly engage patients in hospitals, children and young adults in schools, professionals, and other Boise residents by bringing dance performances into their everyday lives and environments. The project is intended to build upon TMP's award-winning transformation of Boise into a creative and innovative city through dance engagement. Engagement activities are expected to reach a broad spectrum of Boise's population of 205,600, including younger, tech-savvy residents; individuals who would not normally seek out the arts on their own; and underserved populations who, due to economics, illness, or circumstance, are unable to access the arts.
