Frontiers in Development

Never before has the world experienced such significant progress in human development, and at the same time seen such rapid and unpredictable changes in the forces that affect it.  

The U.S. Agency for International Development and its partners are embracing and evolving with these changes in order to be effective in supporting sustaining development by creating the space in which to evaluate and better understand key development trends is essential to adapt to the rapid transformations in the development landscape; 

Engaging with the smartest, most innovative and experienced thought-leaders and practitioners around the world; seizing pivotal opportunities to leave behind generational legacies of success. 

We call this effort Frontiers in Development. 

We are starting these conversations both though the Frontiers in Development essays, and by meeting at Georgetown University from June 11-13  to debate, discuss, and learn from each other in person.

We are very excited about the Frontiers in Development Forum. The event will be part of a set of development events during the week, which will include the Child Survival: Call To Action, and supports a larger effort by USAID to facilitate development thinking and action on a wide range of critical issues.
