Europe and Eurasia

The Office of Europe and Eurasia coordinates HHS health and social policy interactions with counterparts in Europe and Eurasia, and with a number of international organizations and including the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, the G 8 and the Global Health Security Initiative.

Global Health Conference

The Global Health Conference is annual event is organized and hosted by the Embassy of Italy. It aims to promote international collaboration to improve global health, health security, and to address critical health challenges in developing countries.

Multilateral Collaboration

In addition to bilateral interactions, HHS also interfaces with a number of international organizations on issues ranging from health security to health care policy to Arctic health.

United States and the European Union

The United States and the European Union cooperate in a number of areas of mutual interest, including antimicrobial resistance, health information technology and drug and food safety.

US– Russia Bilateral Commission

In July of 2009, the U.S. and Russia signed a Memorandum of Understanding that aims to improve the health and well-being of both nations by facilitating cooperation and exchanges in the area of public health and medical science.
