Consumer Engagement Quality Toolbox

Description

The National Partnership for Women & Families provides technical assistance for Aligning Forces for Quality (AF4Q), the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s signature effort to improve the overall quality of health care in targeted communities, reduce racial and ethnic disparities, and provide models for national reform. Part of this effort includes ensuring that consumers are actively involved in the work of the Alliances to represent the patient perspective, and encouraging patients to take an active role in their health care by seeking out reliable information as they make choices about their doctors and hospitals.

The Consumer Engagement Quality Toolbox includes many resources, including:
  • Consumer engagement best practices
  • Consumer engagement survey
  • Consumer engagement process
  • Patient empowerment training module
