Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA)

PIPS Financial Information System, (PFIS)

Summary:  The United States Office of Personnel Management gives notice that it has conducted a Privacy Impact Assessment for Personnel Investigation Processing System (PIPS) Financial Information System (PFIS). The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) uses PFIS to process detailed billing and payment transactions for all personnel investigations conducted by the Federal Investigations Services Division. PFIS is used to provide a functional interface between PIPS and OPM's Government Information System (GFIS). The functions include sending billing information to GFIS, generating monthly detailed invoices, and receiving collection information from GFIS.
