Welcome |
National Drug File Reference Terminology (NDF-RT) is produced by the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) as an extension of the VHA National Drug File (VANDF) formulary. It organizes the drug list into a formal representation. NDF-RT is used for modeling drug characteristics including ingredients, chemical structure, dose form, physiologic effect, mechanism of action, pharmacokinetics, and related diseases. NDF-RT is part of the Federal Medication Terminologies (FMT), and three components -- Mechanism of Action, Physiologic Effect, and Structural Class - are used in FDA Structured Product Labeling (SPL).
