July FOIA Requester Roundtable

Next week we will be continuing our series of FOIA Requester Roundtable meetings, an open forum for discussions between the FOIA requester community and agency FOIA professionals.

Our next meeting, hosted in conjunction with the Office of Government Information Services and at the National Archives building, will focus on the topic of declassification of documents through the FOIA and through the mandatory declassification review process established by Executive Order 13526.  The discussion will focus on how the declassification review process works through these different legal avenues.

We hope that you can join us for this discussion, which is open to members of the public, as well as to all interested agency personnel.  The details for this meeting are:

These roundtable discussions provide an opportunity for the FOIA requester community to participate in the exchange of ideas with agency personnel, with the goal of increasing the understanding of the issues that all parties face when working with the FOIA.
