Former dean honoured with AVC's Green Hat Award

Dr. Lawrence Heider (centre), Dean of AVC from 1991-1998, shares a chuckle with Dr. Don Reynolds, Dean, and Dr. Tim Ogilvie, immediate past Dean, at a reception following UPEI's 2012 Recognition of Founders Ceremony on September 28. During the ceremony, Dr. Heider was awarded the Honourable Eugene F. Whelan Green Hat Award for his contributions and dedication to AVC as Dean and to UPEI as Acting President from 1998-1999. This award is the highest honour bestowed by the College.

AVC welcomes Class of 2016

 AVC’s Class of 2016 received a warm welcome on Friday, August 24, during the College’s annual Blue Coat Ceremony. The students were presented with their blue lab coats, signifying the beginning of their four-year journey toward their DVMs. Hosting the event at UPEI’s Wanda Wyatt Dining Hall were Dr. Donald Reynolds, Dean of AVC, and Dr. Jim Berry, President-elect of the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association. Congratulations and welcome, Class of 2016!
