   TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND HEALTH CARE ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBERS
ANNOUNCED

 The FCC today announced the members of its Telecommunications and
Health Care Advisory Committee. 
This voluntary panel will help the Commission to meet the
Congressional objective set forth in the
Telecommunications Act of 1996 that telecommunications be used to
enhance the provision of health care services to
all Americans.

        The Advisory Committee's first meeting is scheduled for
10:00 AM on June 12, 1996, at the Commission in
Washington, DC.  The Commission expects the Committee to hold two
additional public meetings before its term
ends in September.   Further information about each of these
meetings will be publicly released.

        All Committee meetings will be open to the public.  In
addition, minutes of the meetings will be transcribed
and placed on the public record.  Interested individuals and
organizations can obtain further information about this
