In addition the Environmental Health Support Center is located in the AAIHS.
Division of Environmental Health Services (DEHS)The Division of Environmental Health Services (DEHS) program of the Indian Health Service (IHS) provides comprehensive environmental health services to American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities through a network of community-based EHS professionals.

Division of Sanitation Facilities ConstructionThe Division of Sanitation Facilities Construction (DSFC) designs, and supervises the construction of water, wastewater, and solid waste facilities. Engineers also inspect water, wastewater, and solid waste facilities with Division of Environmental Health Services staff in an effort to provide clean, safe water for Native Americans. Ensuring wastewater and solid waste facilities don’t contaminate groundwater reservoirs or the environment in which we live continues to be a priority.

Division of Healthcare FacilitiesThe construction and maintenance of hospitals and clinics is the mission of the Division of Healthcare Facilities (DHF). Ensuring Native Americans are provided the highest quality care in a safe, clean environment has been the overarching goal of DHF staff. The DHF staff members also include the Biomedical Technicians. The Technicians in Biomed are tasked with ensuring every piece of medical equipment that may come into contact with a patient be safe and operate properly. Many individuals work alongside doctors, nurses, and other medical personnel to ensure the highest quality environment is present to provide medical care to Native Americans.
