Post-traumatic Stress Disorder commonly co-occurs with addiction and Integrated Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (ICBT) is an innovative approach to treating PTSD. Based on research funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), ICBT for PTSD can provide the tools needed to fully integrate treatment of addiction and PTSD. This program combines mindful relaxation, flexible thinking and education to provide a safe, effective and well-tolerated approach for people healing from the impact of trauma in their lives.

Qualified professionals can receive up to $170,000 loan repayments under the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program. This competitive program recruits health professionals to serve in areas with inadequate access to health care (referred to as Health Professional Shortage Areas—HSPAs). To be eligible, counselors must be fully trained, licensed and working at (or in the final stages of employment negotiations with) an NHSC-eligible facility.
