Rosemary Fry Plakas discusses the seven suffrage scrapbooks compiled between 1897 and 1911 by Elizabeth Smith Miller and her daughter, Anne Fitzhugh Miller of Geneva, New York. The scrapbooks document the activities of the Geneva Political Equality Club, which the Millers founded in 1897, and the persistent efforts of women and men working for women's suffrage at the state, national, and international levels.
Speaker Biography: Rosemary Fry Plakas is the American History Specialist in the Library's Rare Book and Special Collections Division.
