  • WOW!: The Wonders Of Wetlands Exit EPA Disclaimer is a comprehensive, interdisciplinary curriculum guide for educators of grade levels K-12. The latest edition, co-published in 1995 by Environmental Concern and The Watercourse (Bozeman, MT), includes over 50 fun and effective learning-activities for both indoor and outdoor use.

Education Programs

  • Audubon Adventures Exit EPA Disclaimer is a curriculum enhancement program used primarily in grades 4 through 6 to teach children science, environmental topics and respect for nature and to practice language and communication skills.
  • Cornell BirdSleuth Exit EPA Disclaimer gives students a background in bird biology, bird behavior, and data analysis; fosters interest in science and nurtures scientific thinking; uses the latest advances in computer technology; familiarizes students with the Internet; uses writing and art to display students' research; and incorporates the National Science Education Standards.

  • Nature Mapping Program Exit EPA Disclaimer trains individuals to become aware of their natural resources and to provide the tools to inventory and monitor their resources.
  • Project Learning Tree (PLT ) Exit EPA Disclaimer is an interdisciplinary environmental education program for educators working with students in PreK through grade 12. PLT helps students gain awareness and knowledge of the natural and built environment, their place within it, as well as their responsibility for it.

  • WETMAAP: Wetland Education Through Maps And Aerial Photography Exit EPA Disclaimer introduces educators and students to wetland habitats' functions and values, wetland mapping, digital databases, and GIS technology; assists educators with the integration of wetland issues into existing curricula; promotes public awareness of wetland loss issues; and provides an understanding of the cause and effect of wetland change.
  • A World in Our Backyard: A Wetlands Education and Stewardship Program suggests ways to study wetland characteristics, why wetlands are important, and how students and teachers can help protect a local wetland.
