U.S. Under Secretary of Education Martha Kanter will deliver the keynote address on the Obama administration's education agenda and efforts to raise education achievement for Hispanic students at the 2012 Summit on Hispanic Education at 10:50 a.m. ET on Thursday, Oct. 11, in Miami, Fla. Kanter also will discuss the President's goal of ensuring that America once again is the nation with the highest college completion rate in the world by the year 2020. Sponsored by the Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents, the conference brings together some 600 principals, superintendents and other K-12 school administrators from around the country who are concerned with improving the education attainment of Latino students.
