Labs21® is dedicated to improving the environmental performance of U.S. laboratories.

Cosponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Exit Labs21 offers professionals worldwide the opportunity for information exchange and education.

Laboratories and high performance facilities are targeted because the typical laboratory, for example, uses far more energy and water per square foot than the typical office building. Explore the resources and links on this site to learn more about sustainable laboratories.

As the Labs21 program continues to transition, the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL) Exit has taken on the conference and workshops and both DOE and I2SL host the Labs21 Tool Kit and other resources. Follow the links below to learn more.
