Annual Conference

Lights, Camera, Action: Setting the Stage for TB EliminationThe 12th annual TB Education and Training (TB ETN) Conference, Lights, Camera, Action: Setting the Stage for TB Elimination will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, September 18–20, 2012, at the W Atlanta Midtown Hotel. For a fourth year, TB ETN and the TB Program Evaluation Network (TB PEN) will join forces to highlight the common aspects of TB education, training, and evaluation. The conference will focus on a variety of topics including lessons learned from past and present disease eradication efforts and how to apply them to TB elimination, how to present TB data effectively, and how to create partnerships between TB patients and health care workers. Conference activities will also include skills-based workshops, informational presentations, and networking opportunities.

Registration and payment will be processed by the Georgia American Lung Association (GALA). The registration fee is $75.00 U.S. dollars.

Hotel Information

The TB ETN conference will be held at the W Midtown Atlanta Hotel located at 188 14th Street, NE, Atlanta, Georgia, 30361.

Attendees are responsible for making their own hotel reservations by calling the hotel at 1-877-WHOTELS (1-877-946-8357) or online.

Guest rooms are being offered at the current government rate of $133 per night.  Hotel reservations must be made by August 18, 2012 to secure the government room rate.  Be sure to mention the group name, 2012 TB Education and Training Network 12th Annual Conference, to receive the government rate.

An early departure fee of $75 will be charged to a guest’s individual account if the guest checks out prior to the reserved check out date.  To avoid this fee, advise the hotel at or before check-in of any change in the scheduled length of stay.  Guests will be reminded of this fee upon check-in.

Continuing Education

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is accredited as a provider of Continuing Nursing Education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission for Continuing Education for this activity is pending.
