Recommended Community Strategies and Measurements to Prevent Obesity in the United States [PDF-376k] contains 24 recommended obesity prevention strategies focusing on environmental and policy level change initiatives that can be implemented by local governments and school districts to promote healthy eating and active living.

Early Assessment of Programs and Policies to Prevent Childhood Obesity is a two-year collaborative project to identify and assess local-level programs and policies that appear promising to improve the eating habits and physical activity levels of children.

School Health Guidelines
