Adult Overweight and Obesity

Among Washington's adults age 18 and over 1

  • 61.1% of adults were overweight, with a Body Mass Index of 25 or greater
  • 25.5% of adults were obese, with a Body Mass Index of 30 or greater

Adolescent Overweight and Obesity

2009 Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System (YRBSS) adolescent obesity data is not available for Washington. 

Child Overweight and Obesity

Among Washington's children aged 2 years to less than 5 years 2
