  • CDC GovDelivery email service
    Enroll for a free subscription, selecting specific topics and programs that interest you. Then receive email alerts when new information on the topic/program is available on CDC’s web pages.
  • Medscape Commentary SeriesExternal Web Site Policy
    Medscape and CDC partner to offer video commentaries on the current topics important to all practicing clinicians, including influenza, infection control, vaccine-preventabe diseases, and travel medicine. The email service is free and intended for physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Many of CDC's immunization partners offer news and newsletter subscription services. Including:

      Subscription services to popular newsletters: IAC Express, Needle Tips, Vaccinate Adults.
    • SIGNpost (a publication of the Safe Injection Global Network [SIGN]). Created by WHO, SIGN is a comprehensive resource on international injection safety issues.     • VHPB email service (publication of the Viral Hepatitis Prevention Board [VHPB]). The objective of VHPB is to contribute to the control and prevention of viral hepatitis by drawing attention to viral hepatitis, issuing prevention guidelines, and encouraging actions to improve control and prevention. The email service contains current information from the VHPB website and the organization's newsletter, "Viral Hepatitis." To subscribe, go to:

  • Many state health departments offer immunization-related newsletters and subscription services.

Partner Listservs

For an understanding of global public health issues, including immunization and viral hepatitis, you might want to subscribe to one or more international listservs.

  • Immunization University (a listserv that offers training on vaccine products and immunization services through distance learning and on-site classes) An informal collection of guidelines and training resources to help staff make every immunization an excellent one. Designed to enhance the skills of healthcare workers from a variety of professional and paraprofessional backgrounds.   • Weekly Epidemiological Record (a WHO publication). The Weekly Epidemiological RecordExternal Web Site Policy (WER) serves as an essential instrument for the rapid and accurate dissemination of epidemiological information on cases and outbreaks of diseases under the International Health Regulations and on other communicable diseases of public health importance, including emerging or re-emerging infections. To subscribe, send a message to listserv@who.int. The subject of the message should be left blank and the body of the message should contain only the words: subscribe wer-reh. A request for confirmation will be sent in reply.
