Who Registers, What Trials & When

NCI initiated a phased launch of CTRP, which started in January 2009 with a focus on registering interventional trials by NCI-designated Cancer Centers. CTRP is now open to registration of all NCI-supported interventional clinical trials. The timeline for CTRP reporting is as follows:

Registration

  • NCI-designated Cancer Centers should complete initial registration by October 2011
  • Other Grantee Institutions conducting NCI-supported trials should develop processes and complete initial trial registration by January 2012

Amendments, Updates, and Status Changes

  • NCI-designated Cancer Centers should develop processes and begin submitting amendments, updates, and status changes by March 2012
  • Other Grantee Institutions conducting NCI-supported trials should develop processes and begin submitting amendments, updates, and status changes by June 2012

Patient Accrual

  • NCI-designated Cancer Centers should develop processes and begin submitting accrual by September 2012
  • Other Grantee Institutions conducting NCI-supported trials should develop processes and begin submitting accrual by January 2013
