This is something that is close to my heart. My husband joined our military and was naturalized as a U.S. Citizen, yet his family has had has been denied visits to several of his graduations, police graduation, could not even see him deployed or return to the states. We had to fight to just have one come up for the birth of our son! The sacrifices that my husband and many other like him have not only been for our country but having to be separated from his own family who just want to see his life accomplishments when they happen and be there for support. Please help sign and pass this word along to others! http://wh.gov/Q6lc

I am part of a group of people that is trying to get a missing little girl's picture to as many people as possible. Her family desperately misses her and are trying to do everything possible to make everyone aware of Lisa's situation. You have a really big fan base and I was wondering if you could help us out by sharing this link to your page, or going to the link and sharing the flier to your page, and asking your fans to share it? Our goal is to make sure that every person in the world knows who Lisa is and what she looks like. Thanks in advance for any help you can give us. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=365137160235090&set=a.358451867570286.85721.358446840904122&type=1&theater

  7. WE'LL BE MARINES IN THE MORNING

You voted and this week’s Corps Top Shot comes from Air Force Staff Sgt. Chris Griffin. He took photos of the crucible, a recruit’s final test before becoming a Marine.

Recruits from Charlie Company take a ...moment to rest after completing their last event at The Crucible, Dec. 14, 2012, at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C. During the two-day event the Marines will traverse 50 or more miles while using teamwork to complete tasks set in front of them. The Crucible is one of the last obstacles recruits face before receiving the eagle, globe, and anchor along with being called a Marine for the first time. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. 9. The Magic, Chase and Operation Homefront honored a veteran and his family for a very special ‘Big Give’ at the Dec. 23 Jazz Matchup.
Photo: Army Sergeant First Class Paul Hiltibidal, his wife Lindsey and their four children were invited to the Orlando Magic game as the “Magic family” for the night. During a special celebration, Operation Homefront presented the Hiltibidal family with keys to their new mortgage-free Homes on the Homefront home provided by Chase Community Givinge, which they saw earlier this week. The Orlando Magic then surprised the family with a $2,500 check to help them furnish their new home and provide holiday gifts for the children. In addition, Papa John’s announced that they will provide the Hiltibidal family with pizza for an entire year and Disney surprised them with 1-Day Magic Your Way Tickets with Park Hopper® option.
