- An American citizen who is at least 18 years of age can vote

- Contact your local government election department
- Your state/territorial election office may also be able to provide information about where you can register in your state
- The National Mail Voter Registration Form is the one document that allows you to register to vote from anywhere in the U.S
- If you are outside of the U.S., you can get information online from the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP) or call an international FVAP hotline
Where can I vote?
- A polling place or polling station is where you go to cast a ballot

Can I vote if I can't make it to my registered polling station?
- You can request an absentee ballot
- An absentee ballot allows you to vote before the election. After you vote, you can return the ballot by mail to your local election officials

There are several places you may report voter fraud/voter registration fraud:
- Your state/territorial election office
- A local Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) office
- A local U.S. Attorney's office
- The Public Integrity Section of the Department of Justice's Criminal Division
How do I report a problem with a voting machine at a polling station?
First, let your local poll workers know if you're having a problem using a machine. You can also contact your state/territorial election office.
