Climate change threatens some of the most treasured natural and historic places in our nation. An example in the Pacific Islands bioregion that park managers are concerned about is the increased vulnerability of resources and structures in coastal parks due to climate change as rising seas cause erosion, salt water intrusion, and larger storm surges. Seen here, the historic kaloko fishpond seawall of Kaloko-Honokohau National Historic Park is threatened by rising sea levels.
