The Civil War in America

A new exhibition opening Nov. 12 at the Library of Congress highlights the impact of the war on the soldiers, sailors, spouses, children, slaves & others, on & off the battlefield. The exhibition commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Civil War and features more than 200 unique items, many never before on public view.

Veterans History Project

This November, join theĀ "Make it Meaningful" campaign. From Veterans Day through Thanksgiving, take the time to interview the veteran in your community & honor them by submitting their story to the Library of Congress. Learn more about VHP & how individuals, organizations & communities around the country have made this the largest oral history project in the country, 85,000 veterans strong.
