  • Well, I need to get in shape...NOW!

  • I remember PT in Basic. This was MANY moons ago, and I couldn't even make it around the track once without stopping, cause even though I walked or biked 30 miles a day, it wasn't running. By the 3rd week of BCT, I was maxing my run thanks to my Drill Sergeants, and I wouldn't trade my time in basic for anything!!! I'll never forget my drill that helped me she was at the barracks the first day I completed the run without stopping, and when I went to tell her and share my joy, she dropped me!!

  • Which base is this at?

  • There is no "I" im Team but there is a M and an E!!!! Just kidding. Go Army! I leave for BCT in 12 days!

  • I'm taking my practice test again on the 6th of June, wish me luck, I struggle a little with math, but have no issues with everything else.

  • The hardest part for me was the mental aspect. Basic forced me to do things I would never have the confidence to do on my own and that's why your battle buddies are SO crucial to getting thru training successfully. You'll be fine as long as you just look out for each other and don't get hung up on the little things. Live up to the values of an American Soldier and never forget what separates you from your friends... you're our countries finest!

  • im in ROTC so i think im getting well fit for basic

  • This looks much cooler and tougher than it is in Germany!

  • wtf, i was at leonard wood & our first formations were at 0415. then again we were all male

  • this is the page im searching for a long time at last ahoo!

  • Man when I went in back 8 years ago, at good ol Fort Benning our running track was dirt. Let me tell you its best to run on dirt first because that helps build up your leg muscles and your stamina. When its time to do your PT test, the running portion is done on a hard ball road which made running a hell of lot more easier. So run on dirt first then run on hard ball roads.

  • im just 13 years old, but i want to be in the national guard so bad.
