State Innovation Waivers: Section 1332
The Affordable Care Act allows for States to pursue strategies to help Americans obtain affordable health insurance. The rules, offered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Department of the Treasury lay out the steps States will have to take to gain an Innovation Waiver under the Affordable Care Act.
