Written By: Deborah Goodman, Editor, SAMHSA News

On January 19, SAMHSA launched the first edition of SAMHSA HeadlinesImage of SAMHSA Headlines, a twice-monthly, e-news alert that provides the latest information on SAMHSA’s news, events, and resources.  It is a key resource to help the behavioral health community stay informed.

The inaugural issue highlights recent SAMHSA announcements, including the Agency’s new national report on mental illness and a working definition of “recovery.”  The current edition also includes links to upcoming events and a link to the fall issue of SAMHSA News, which highlights military behavioral health and includes helpful resources for military families.

Send us your thoughts about the new publication by leaving a comment on the blog or by sending a message to SAMHSAHeadlines@samhsa.hhs.gov.  Share this new service with your colleagues, friends, or others who may find it valuable!
