1600 hours

All ports are open and operational with the exception of Port of Pascagoula.

Port of Pascagoula: Due to additional weather events that took place on 8/30/12, there are some changes to operations at the Port. Staff will be on-site at Pascagoula Port Authority offices in Pascagoula, MS to receive the trade and importing community until temporary space is acquired. Administrative work will be conducted at the CBP Mobile office. Hours of operation are normal.

1030 hours

Two ports are currently reporting updates.

Port of Gramercy: CBP Port Office is open and operational.

Port of Pascagoula: Due to additional weather events that took place on 8/30/12, there are some changes to operations at the Port. Staff will be on-site at Pascagoula Port Authority offices in Pascagoula, MS to receive the trade and importing community until temporary space is acquired. Administrative work will be conducted at the CBP Mobile office. Hours of operation are normal.

1220 hours

Four additional ports have resumed normal operations.

New Orleans Airport: New Orleans Louis Armstrong International Airport (KMSY) resumed operations and incoming flights. CBP Federal Inspections Service has resumed normal operations, however commercial flights at the New Orleans Airport has been suspended until further notice.

Port of Pascagoula: CBP Port Office is open and operational.

Port of Mobile: CBP Port Office is open and operational.

Port of Gulfport: CBP Port Office is open and operational.

1045 hours

Three ports are now open for normal operations.

Port of Morgan City: CBP Port Office is open and operational.

Port of Baton Rouge: CBP Port Office is open and operational.

Port of New Orleans: CBP Port Office is open and operational.

Next update at 1200 hours on 8/31/2012 or as weather conditions dictate.

1100 hours

Four additional ports have suspended operations, Port of Pascagoula, Port of Gulfport, Port of Mobile, and New Orleans Airport due to Hurricane Isaac.

Port of Pascagoula: Port of Pascagoula temporarily suspended operations at 1600 8/27/2012. CBP Port administrative offices will temporarily suspend operations on 8/28/12 until conditions allow for business resumption.

Port of Gulfport: Port of Gulfport temporarily suspended operations at 2200 8/27/2012. CBP Port administrative offices temporarily suspended operations on 8/28/12 until conditions allow for business resumption.

Port of Mobile: The Alabama State Port Authority has temporarily suspended receiving all inbound cargo. All vessel processing operations were temporarily suspended on 8/26/2012 at 1500 CST. CBP Port of Mobile temporarily suspended cargo processing operations at 1500 8/27/2012, and the Mobile Container Terminal also temporarily suspended operations at 1700 CST. CBP Port administrative offices temporarily suspend operations on 8/28/12 until conditions allow for business resumption.

New Orleans Airport: New Orleans Louis Armstrong International Airport (KMSY) closed as of 2200 on 8/28/12. It will remain closed until weather allows incoming flights.

The next update will occur at 1200 hours on 8/30/12 or as conditions change.

2345 hours

Four ports, Port of Morgan City, Port of Gramercy, Port of Baton Rouge, and Port of New Orleans, have temporarily suspended service.

Port of Morgan City: CBP Port administrative offices will temporarily suspend operations on 8/28/12 and will resume when conditions allow.

Port of Gramercy: CBP Port administrative offices will temporarily suspend operations at 1200 CST on 8/28/12 and will resume when conditions allow.

Port of Baton Rouge: CBP Port administrative offices will remain open for transactions with the exception of duty collections 8/28/12 and will resume full administrative capability when conditions allow.

Port of New Orleans: Container terminal operators temporarily suspending operations at 1700 hours today (08/27/12). CBP Port of New Orleans will temporarily suspend cargo processing operations at 1700. CBP Port administrative offices will remain open for transactions with the exception of duty collections 8/28/12 and will resume full administrative capability when conditions allow.

The expected duration of the suspension is unknown at this time.

The next update will occur at 1200 hours on 8/30/12 or as conditions change.
