Prepare Now for Federal Grant Competition
If your youth-serving agency plans to apply for a Runaway and Homeless Youth Program grant (or grants) this spring, it’s not too early to start preparing.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services should release funding opportunity announcements for the Basic Center Program, which supports emergency shelters for homeless youth, and the Street Outreach Program, which enables organizations to serve youth living on the streets, in April. The funding opportunity announcement for the Transitional Living Program, which supports longer-term housing and services for older homeless youth, should be released in May.
Applications should be due in June.
