More Resources FY 2012-13 Agency Priority Goals

The Department of Education Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years 2011-2014 describes the key policy and operational priorities for the agency. The Plan details our strategic performance goals and measures and highlights data for our national outcome goals that focus on reaching the President's 2020 goal that America will once again have the highest proportion of college graduates in the world. We posted a draft Strategic Plan on February 13, 2012 and invited comments from the general public and from key stakeholders. In response to our request, approximately 70 parties submitted comments. The Department made a number of changes to the original Plan based on the comments we received. We explain these changes and provide our responses to substantive issues in the document below.
