The Detroit region includes Michigan, Ohio, and West Virginia

As part of the Census Bureau Restructuring, the Detroit Region is one of six regional offices that will close on 1 January 2013. States serviced by the Detroit Region are being reassigned under the Field Realignment. The Chicago Region (Michigan) and the Philadelphia Region (Ohio, West Virginia) will assume responsibility for data collection, data dissemination and geographic operations respectively as shown on Map of New Regional Office Structure [PDF 632k]. During the transition, we remain committed to exceeding the high standards required by the Census Bureau as well as delivering excellent customer service.

Defining the past and measuring the present
