Welcome to the Census Bureau’s Los Angeles region. Our office is responsible for all data collection, data dissemination, and geographic operations, for 19 California counties stretching from Monterey, San Benito, Fresno, Merced, and Mariposa counties to the U.S. Mexican border plus the State of Hawaii with its five counties. The Los Angeles Region's boundary will change to include Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska and Northern California effective 1 January 2013 under the Field Realignment as shown on Map of New Regional Office Structure [PDF 632k]. During the transition, we remain committed to exceeding the high standards required by the Census Bureau as well as delivering excellent customer service.
