Automated Export System (AES)
The Automated Export System (AES) is the electronic way to file the Electronic Export Information (EEI) and ocean manifest information directly to U.S. Customs. The AES Commodity Redesign was implemented in AES effective June 8, 2004. The June 2004 Automated Export System Trade Interface Requirements (AESTIR) is available under AES Technical Documentation. This information includes record formats and other reference material needed to build automated links to the AES. Check frequently for updates.
