CBP facilitates trade on behalf of over 50 federal agencies at the border. CBP coordinates with federal agencies, the trade community, and foreign governments to better define risks through increased automation and information sharing, and encourage greater use of interagency partnership programs. The initiatives aim to reduce redundant information collection, target high risk trade, and foster corporate self-governance and compliance improvement programs within the trade community.
