Todd Clark Joins Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland as Vice President

Todd Clark has been appointed a vice president at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, effective December 16, 2010. He is responsible for leading the Research Department's Money, Financial Markets, and Monetary Policy Group.

Clark has considerable experience with macroeconomics and monetary policy. He joins the Bank from the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, where he served as vice president and head of the macroeconomics group. He joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in 1992 as an economist. He was appointed senior economist in 1996, assistant vice president in 1999, vice president in 2003, and head of the macroeconomics group in 2007.

A native of Indiana, Clark holds a bachelor's degree in economics and mathematics from Wabash College and an MA and PhD in economics from the University of Michigan.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks that, along with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., comprise the Federal Reserve System. As the nation's central bank, the Federal Reserve System formulates U.S. monetary policy, supervises certain banks and all bank holding companies, and provides payment services to depository institutions and the U.S. government. Payment services include check clearing, electronic payments, and the distribution and processing of currency and coin.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, including its branch offices in Cincinnati and Pittsburgh, serves the Fourth Federal Reserve District, which includes Ohio, western Pennsylvania, eastern Kentucky, and the northern panhandle of West Virginia.
