American Indians and Alaskan Natives (AIAN)'s mission is to promote a workforce that is reflective of our diverse cultures and histories within the U.S. population through representation of American Indians and Alaskan Natives. AIAN will assist with recruiting efforts that reach into these communities while educating and raising cultural awareness at the Census Bureau. AIAN will reinforce the unique relationship between the Census Bureau and tribal governments in both policy and practice, and continue to support improved research designs that produce meaningful statistics about our communities.
