Buttons and Badges

2011 Annual Summary

Launch Date: October 2008

Analysis: Buttons and badges are small graphical images that can be added to your social network profile or on any Web site to promote campaigns and other health-related topical content. Each of the buttons and badges used by CDC's social media campaigns are linked and can be clicked on to arrive on a CDC page with additional data and content. A "clickthrough" is when a button or badge has been clicked on and the user arrives on a CDC landing page for more information.

For 2011, the Zombies: Emergency Preparedness campaign received the most clickthroughs with 68,354, followed by the Vital Signs campaign and the CDC 24-7 campaign.
