As an Air Force Psychiatrist, you'll be responsible for ensuring your patients get the care and support they need so they can accomplish their mission.

Career Tasks

  • Prepare and review case histories, evaluate data and measure the effectiveness of a wide range of therapeutic measures.
  • Perform management duties, including formulating plans for psychiatric services, directing mental health clinics, advising on problems related to mental health and prevention of mental disorders while serving as a medical and psychiatric consultant to clinical psychologists and social workers.
  • Coordinate psychiatric services with other medical activities and serve as a consultant on psychiatry.
