Samuel G. Johnson, doctor of pharmacology and clinical pharmacy specialist in cardiology at Kaiser Permanente Colorado, has been selected as the 2012-2014 National Academies’ Institute of Medicine Anniversary Pharmacy Fellow. The fellowship was established by AACP and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. Please consider a pledge to help fund this outstanding opportunity for pharmacy representation within the IOM.
The Script Your Future Medication Adherence TEAM Challenge will be held in February. With pharmacy schools taking the lead, interprofessional teams will engage their community constituents in a dialogue about the importance of taking their medications effectively and establishing a medication adherence plan. AACP is accepting applications for APPE students who wish to complete a rotation and learn more about association work. A new blog allows current APPE students to post reflections about their experiences at AACP. For rotations occurring in fall 2013 and spring 2014, AACP will accept applications until Nov. 1.
