I work for a small seafood processing company out of Kodiak Alaska. It's 100% tribally owned by the Sun'aq Tribe of Kodiak. We are very interested in exporting to other countries. NOAA requires us to pay $275/hour in order to have our plant certified. It'll cost us about $15,000 to take part in this program. We are small. Are there any funding opportunities to assist us so we can export our value-added product?

I work for a 100% tribally owned value-added seafood processing plant. We are very small and looking to export to other countries. NOAA requires we pay them $275 per hour for validationa dn verification. We'll end up paying $15,000 for the first year of plant certification and $4,000 each year following. Is there any assistance provided for expenses such as these?

Enter "Seafood Inspection" in the keyword search within BusinessUSA. Make sure you put quotation marks on each. The Seafood Inspection program has contact information there.
