    "content": "<h2>About the <cite>Look</cite> Collection</h2>\r\n\r\n<p>The <cite>Look</cite> Magazine Photograph Collection is a vast\r\nphotographic archive created to illustrate <cite>Look</cite> magazine\r\nand related publications produced by companies founded by\r\nGardner Cowles. The cataloged portion of the collection\r\ntotals some four million published and unpublished images\r\nmade by photographers working for <cite>Look</cite>, most dating\r\n1952-1971. With its coverage of U.S. and international\r\nlifestyles, celebrities, and events, the collection offers\r\ninsight into the magazine's photojournalistic documentation\r\nof aspects of society and culture--particularly American\r\nsociety and culture--in the middle decades of the twentieth\r\ncentury. Cowles Communications donated the bulk of the\r\narchive to the Library of Congress in 1971, after <cite>Look</cite>\r\nmagazine ceased publication.</p>\r\n\r\n\r\n",
