The FDA signs cooperation agreement with the Public Health Institute of Chile

The FDA director of the Latin America Office, Michael Rogers, participated in a ceremony to sign a cooperation agreement between the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Public Health Institute of Chile (ISP) on March 16, 2012.

This agreement creates an exchange of knowledge about drug surveillance in their various stages of production and distribution.

With this agreement, Chile becomes the third Latin American country to sign an agreement of this scope with the FDA. The Federal Commission for Protection Against Health Risks of Mexico (COFEPRIS) and the National Health Surveillance Agency of Brazil (ANVISA) had also agreements with the FDA.
