The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has approved a roughly $1 million grant to Digital Promise. This comes on the heels of a $350,000 investment by the Carnegie Corporation of New York. Combined with support from Fortune 100 companies and others, Digital Promise has now raised more than $2 million in private funds since its launch one year ago.
Recently, Digital Promise hosted its inaugural Innovation Workshop, bringing educators from across the country to our nation’s capital to find ways to overcome barriers to innovation in our classrooms and schools.
A new League of Innovative Schools is bringing together school districts, researchers, and entrepreneurs to accelerate innovation in public education.
