Tropical Storm Olivia strengthened a bit overnight. Maximum sustained winds are now 60 mph, and additional strengthening is forecast. Olivia could become a hurricane today or Monday before weakening begins Monday Night.
The storm is centered this morning over the open waters of the eastern North Pacific Ocean about 930 miles southwest of the southern tip of Baja California. Its west-northwest movement should become northwest later today, then north tonight and Monday. It is not a threat to land.
